Where I've Been

Since age 19, I've been traveling the country. It's been a long and winding road. Below are some of my biggest, most formative adventures.

It was an incredible summer spent working in Alaska. I guided people on the Root Glacier and through ice caves. I gave historical tours of the copper concentration mill and went on hikes in the area. I even got to travel around to other destinations such as Cordova, Valdez, Anchorage and Fairbanks.

Hiking the Appalachian Trail

March to September of 2023

From Georgia to Maine, hiking the Appalachian Trail was one of the best times of my life. It was a simple time of connecting with nature and making friends. Ever since I finished the trail, I've wanted to do another thru hike. If you like what I do and want to support me, consider donating and helping me hike the PCT or CDT this spring.

Hiking the Colorado Trail

Truly a spectacular thru hike, the Colorado Trail stretches from Durango to Denver. I worked for six months saving up money while camping outside of Boulder before setting off. It was well worth it. With an average elevation of 10,300 ft, the views are incredible.

From South Carolina to Wyoming

July to August of 2021

Whenever I'm depressed and bored, I just have to get up and go. With essentially no outdoor experience and little money, I put together the cheapest setup I could and started pedaling. I didn't even bring a sleeping pad. After 1100 miles, many broken spokes and many lessons learned, I called it quits near Casper, Wyoming.

At twenty two years old, I had done some traveling and seen a few small mountains, but I knew I wanted see something grand. I consider my trek to Everest Base Camp to be my first big foray into the outdoors and a pivotal experience. It's also a relatively inexpensive journey, costing only 1700 dollars at the time. That included three weeks with a guide, accommodations at tea houses, and meals. To this day, I often recommend this trek as a bucket list item for anyone seeking adventure on a budget.
